If you ask, “how did life start” you get several answers, which in itself is a bad sign. Look at how ambiguous the story is. Where did life start… in a quiet little pond… deep in the ocean? How did it start … in a chemical soup… by crystals acting is a matrix to assemble components? What about the basic chemical structures… were they here on earth or did they drop in from space?
If a scientific theory is well understood, why do we have such a list of divergent ideas? And some of these explanations are relatively modern. What will the theory be like 20 years from now?
