Mutation Resulting in Improper Word

• If the mutation produces an improper word the change is rejected

• • The book now contains a “typo” and is therefore not as good as the original
  • • “He read the book” -> “He reat the book”
  • The biological analogy: the improper gene coding results in a needed protein not being built
  • • The organism cannot live or at a minimum is “less fit”
